This section of the website is dedicated to sharing updates on our training journey in the lead up to the bike ride. We’ll be posting regular progress reports, photos and news as we prepare for the big journey.

First bi-weekly burner in the bag this Saturday with Danny, George and Nathaniel leading the charge!!! They knocked out 50km - this is a third of what our daily average will be on the Home2Rome trip.😅

Tempo Tuesday hit different this week!🌅

Matt and Nathaniel were out the door by 5:30am, chasing the sunrise and clocking another 50km in perfect weather.🚴‍♂️☀️

Nathaniel and Ryan smashed out the longest ride yet with a scorching 100km in the weekend heat 🔥 🚴‍♂️

They battled the sun, kept the pace and - crucially - made time for a sweet treat stop hallways through 🍰 Because even record-breaking rides deserve a little sugar boost!

Each ride gets us closer to Rome 🇮🇹

Jordan kicked things off solo with an early 30km to start the week right 🌄
Later on, Brad and Adam jumped in for their first ride, clocking their own 30km — with a cheeky beer stop to keep things balanced 🍻🚴‍♂️ No Strava info today so you’re just going to have to believe me😅

Last night, Brad kept his training going with a solo 25km after work — no excuses, just miles 💪

Bi-Weekly Burner brought the chaos this week 🌧️🔥
Matt, Nathaniel, Danny, George, Adam & Brad braved the pouring rain to smash out a solid 50km — soaked but unstoppable 💪

Special shoutout to George, who hit the deck twice still getting used to clipping in… character building stuff 😅🚴‍♂️

Matt even went the extra mile (literally), clocking an extra 20km riding to the meetup 💯

Wheelie Wednesday 🚴‍♂️💥
George, Adam & Connor hit the roads and knocked out a strong 35km — and yes, for once… George managed to stay upright 🙌

Connor’s learning the hard way that taking photos while riding isn’t as easy as it looks — which explains all the posing 😎📸

Feel Good Friday delivered in full ☀️🚴‍♂️
Matt and Nathaniel were out before work, making the most of the stunning sunshine and absolutely smashing 48km in just under 2 hours 💨

Early miles, big smiles, and one step closer to Rome 🇮🇹

Saturday Social Spin served up rain, hills and serious mileage ☕🚴‍♂️
Connor, Danny & Nathaniel smashed 75km, taking on the brutal Bow Brickhill incline and still finding time to refuel with coffee and cake in Woburn 🍰

It was the furthest ride yet for Connor and Danny — and Connor repped his yellow socks in support of Sarcoma Awareness Month 💛

Big climbs, good vibes and even better company.

Matt and Jordan hit the roads and smashed 30km in just over an hour. Smooth roads, strong legs, solid vibes 🚴‍♂️💨

Meanwhile, Matt’s been caught uploading his rides twice trying to sneak his way to the top of the Strava leaderboard… nice try, but the leaderboard never lies 😅📉

Sorry for the radio silence, a few of the cyclists (and the admin!) have been off on holidays and trips 🌴✈️ But we’re back, and so are the miles 🚴‍♂️💨

Good weather, good company, and the legs are still ticking over nicely.

A refuel came in the form of pastries and coffee, the perfect sugar boost ☕🥐 (especially since Danny’s sweets had melted into one giant mega sweet 🍬).

Threshold Thursday done right 💪🚴‍♂️
Matt went big with a 100km ride after work, breaking it up with a stop in Brixworth, where Thursday’s golden rule applies: buy a burger & chips, get a free pint 🍔🍟🍺

Refuelled and rehydrated, he jumped straight back on the bike to finish the ride strong. Check out his current bike set-up…dialled in and ready for more miles 🔧📸

Adam, Connor, Danny & George took on a tough 40km after work, riding straight into a strong headwind.

They pushed through, kept the pace and proved that perseverance beats the wind every time 🚴‍♂️💪.

Motivation Monday - bank holiday edition 🚴‍♂️💥
Josh, Jordan & Matt were up at 6am smashing out a 40km before the day began, proving there’s always time to fit the miles in 💪
Danny got his own 35km solo spin, while Connor carried out a 25km ride alongside his mum, miles and memories in the bank ❤️

Wheelie Wednesday brought all the elements 🌈🌅
Danny, George & Nathaniel got in 30km after work, battling the shorter evenings (time to start thinking about lights 💡) and even sneaking in a bit of off-road adventure. The ride was topped off with rainbows and a stunning sunset.

Meanwhile, Brad put in a solo 30km but a slowly flattening tyre made it more of a grind than planned 🚴‍♂️🛠️

Bi-Weekly Burner turned into a big one 🔥
Connor, Danny, George, Jordan, Josh, Matt & Nathaniel put in a solid 87km with 1,100m of elevation, serious climbing legs on show 💪

Midway refuel came at yellow bourbon in Weedon with a well-earned bagel & coffee stop ☕🥯…the fuel of champions. (The bagels and coffee are insanely good there)

This week was all about Jesse & Jordan, clocking a solid 40km together.

After 39 days of owning his bike, Jesse finally took it out… and it turns out he’s actually really good at this cycling thing 👏💨

Better late than never - strong debut ride in the bag!

Pedal4Purpose takes on Tour de 4 🚴‍♂️🌧️
Matt travelled all the way to Scotland to take part in Tour De 4 - a charity cycling event organised by none other than Sir Chris Hoy 🙌

In the build-up, Matt raised funds for sarcoma uk and on the day he battled the elements to complete a tough 90km in the rain.

Miles and money raised for a cause that means everything 💛

Silverstone Sunday 🏁🚴‍♂️
Danny, Josh, Nathaniel & Ryan took on the Silverstone Sportive, completing a massive 100 miles around the iconic track and beyond.

It just goes to show that the team are already capable of cycling the daily distances we’ll face on the Home2Rome journey 💪 An incredible effort all round from the lads!

And for Nathaniel & Ryan… they went that extra step (or pedal stroke) by riding to and from the event, racking up an unbelievable 200km+ in a single day 😳👏

Sunday Spin 🚴‍♂️💨
Connor & Tommy capped off the weekend with a huge 70km ride - and it was Tommy’s furthest ride yet 👏 Big progress and even bigger miles in the bank.

This marks our final post from a crazy Sunday full of rides, efforts and achievements across the team. What a day! 💪
